Lots of Ups and Downs

You can read the race results for the month of September on the right side of the blog. Just like life, it's been a month (and a summer) full of ups and downs. After finally feeling comfortable behind the wheel of the big (compared to the CRX) new racecar, Aaron got a feature win and then a heat win and then he blew up the transmission. We thank God for a fellow racer who had an extra tranny and him and his friend were able to put it in for us in time for last week's race. It was a beautiful day and Aaron won both the heat and the feature. We've been having a great time handing out candy, toys and literature to the kids and families at the racetrack. We have made some new friends that even made a sign to cheer us on.
Only 2 weekends of racing left but both nights are double features.

A Quick Note

We did not get the car ready for August 29th but we did get it ready for September 5th. Aaron took it easy in the heat. He started 13th and finished 13th. In the feature he took it easy for a couple of laps and then started moving through the pack. He started 13th and ended up in 5th. The car was only 1/1000th of a second slower than the fastest lap time the CRX ever got so even though the frame is bent up a little we are happy with the first night. I have a lot more to say about the night but I'll have to update the blog next week.
